12 ESC volunteering projects in Germany are open for applications on Erasmus Search. The nearest deadline is 31 October 2026.
People aged 18 to 30, or 18 to 35 for humanitarian aid volunteering. You can register on the European Solidarity Corps portal from age 17, but you must be 18 when the activity starts.
Individual volunteering usually lasts from 2 to 12 months. Team volunteering and some shorter activities last from 2 weeks to 2 months.
Volunteering is unpaid, but the costs are covered: travel, accommodation, food and insurance. Volunteers usually also receive pocket money. Details differ by project, so check the call.
Register on the European Solidarity Corps portal (youth.europa.eu/solidarity) and apply to the organisation’s call. Many organisers also use their own application form, which is linked on the project page.
No. The European Solidarity Corps is a separate EU programme for volunteering and solidarity projects. In most countries it is run by the same national agencies as Erasmus+.
